New trends in interior decor from Paris, France
Recently I visited a seminar hosted by The Decorating Centre. One of the speakers was from Norwalk Furniture and they were showcasing the latest from Europe. I have summarized the main points below.
Reclaimed – renewed – reborn
Old is being used in new ways: old tin-ceiling tiles in islands, old wood boxes turned into coffee tables, architectural posts used in book selves, etc. Colors include burlap and natural whites. Fabrics made of linen (flax), bamboo, hemp and other natural fibers. Patterns in fabrics have lots of text and printed pictures.City lifestyle:
Looking for sleek, modern, easy-care designs. Colors: shades of grays, black, white; accent-colors: red – green – orange. Fabrics: natural fibers, lot of textures. The most popular pattern is plaid.Tribal style:
Warmer colors. The strong patterns have been influenced by styles from India, South-America and Africa.Coastal living:
Influenced by the sky and beaches. Thus, there are lots of blues, white, sand-colors accented with fresh greens.Have a project in mind? Ask Us For a consultation:
